Retail Marketing Intern

A retail-marketing internship at LG Electronics in Delhi — store visits, dealer conversations, and the unglamorous reality of field marketing. It taught me more about consumer behaviour than a semester of class.

On the ground

The job lives in the store, not the slide deck — store visits, watching how products actually sell, and listening to the dealers and promoters who make the last sale happen.

  • The “last three feet” — where ad spend pays off or dies
  • Dealer wisdom: what’s visible and explained is what sells
  • Promoter attrition — the economics of the last human before the sale

What I took from it

Field marketing is messy, and the chaos is the data. The best insight of the summer came from a dealer pointing at his own team — not from a strategy document. I wrote two pieces about it (above).
